Presidents Day

Presidents day is next Monday. Actually it's Washington's birthday. Well some states don't celebrate Lincoln's birthday, so they lump Lincoln's in with Washington's. In Illinois we celebrate Lincoln's birthday on February 12th. I didn't get that day off work! We also get off the first Monday in March for Casimir Pulaski day. Who? Casimir Pulaski, revolutionary war hero. The father of American cavalry.

The gunpowder is not found and is successfully transported to the dock, but the Company destroy Delaney's ship. Delaney gets hopelessly drunk, and on recovering, he finds Winter's corpse. Chichester continues his investigation into the Company's corruptness discovering that the name of the slave ship had been changed and was registered as being empty; that it was staffed it with a skeleton crew; and that Stuart Strange’s own brother owned a sugar plantation in Antigua.

Flea Market Kart

We go to the Grayslake flea market every other month, or so. Last time we had way too much stuff. Decanters, geodes, figurines, rocks, etcetera, etcetera. It was getting heavy. And my back started aching. So I grabbed a cart. Gina was like, "It's taking forever with that huge freaking cart". I was like, yeah but my back feels much better. This weekend I'm taking my folding dolly, with a couple of milk crates and a tie down. Much easier on the back.

Mark your calendar. August twenty first, two thousand seventeen. 8/21/17 There's going to be an eclipse. The west coast will see the eclipse peak at 10:15 am. Here in Chicago the eclipse will peak at 1:19 pm. On the east coast the eclipse will peak at 2:42 pm. Most of America will see a partial eclipse. Those in the totality zone from Oregon to South Carolina will see a total eclipse. If you want to view the eclipse, get some eclipse glasses. Or better still, look at the shadow of a tree. The leaves project little moons into the shadow. Don't view the eclipse with your sunglasses. Your eyes will fry.
